Duloch Entertainment

Hire Agreement

Terms & Conditions of Hire 2008

During the period of hire, the hirer will be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, the welfare & behaviour of all persons using the equipment.

Payment of Hire

Payment is strictly either cash on delivery or cheque (cheques must arrive with us two weeks prior to delivery – please make cheques payable to Duloch Entertainment). You may cancel your order & receive a full refund, provided we have a minimum of two weeks notice before the hire date. In cases of adverse weather, we do reserve the right to cancel the booking on the day of hire (if applicable a full refund is provided).

Adverse Weather

In cases of adverse weather, we do not recommend the use of inflatable’s in strong winds or heavy rain as this increases the risk of injury & damage to the equipment. Most of our inflatables do come with a suitable rain/sun cover to help protect you from the elements.

Public Liability Insurance

Our public liability insurance covers Duloch Entertainment for any serious equipment failure & any negligence that may cause injury. Hirer’s using our equipment without supervision from Duloch Entertainment staff are strongly recommended to have their own adequate insurance in place.

Use of Equipment

The Hirer shall not use the equipment for any purpose other than that outlined in the Hire Agreement, the equipment must not be sub hired, used for reward or used for any unlawful purpose.

We expect to collect the equipment at the end of the hire in a reasonably clean & free from damage condition otherwise a reasonable charge may be applied for cleaning/repairs.

We will put up the inflatable for you and explain the operating/safety instructions. We will return at the agreed time and deflate the castle. We will carry out a risk assessment when we arrive with the inflatable to manage associated risks appropriately & advise if any action is required.

THE HIRER shall be deemed to have inspected the equipment (plus accessories if supplied) and to have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless he/she brings to the attention of Duloch Entertainment when it is set up and checked by the hirer when coming in to possession of the equipment any faults noted by the Hirer.

Duloch Entertainment - Hire agreement

It is the responsibility of the customer (hirer) to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

1) This unit has an age limit (Children's castles are suitable up to 11 years of age, Adult castle's are suitable for people aged 12 years and over). Please ensure the correct age groups use the equipment.
2) No food or drinks to be consumed on the inflatable. (To avoid choking & mess).
3) All shoes, badges, jewellery, (i.e. large earrings, necklaces etc.) MUST be removed. It is recommended that spectacles are also removed.
4) No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or "silly string" must be used near or on the inflatable, as they can make a terrible mess and permanently stain the unit.
5) No smoking near the inflatable.
6) Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
7) A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times.
8) Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are colliding into each other then it is too crowded.
9) Try to avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time. Some children require strict supervision.
10) If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains.

11) Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron. The step is there to help users get on and off.
12) Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable.
13) Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.
14) In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table placed over the blower, will help prevent rain-water being sucked into the blower, and then into the inflatable.
15) The blower at the back may have a safety reset button. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, and then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, or there is a power cut, inform us IMMEDIATELY.
16) Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.

17) If you are unsure about anything, please contact us on 01383 665033.

18)  Adequate space is required for the inflatable, we do ask for a 1 metre clearance on all sides of the castle.

19) Inflatable's must be situated on debris free & level areas. This will help prevent accidents & damage to the inflatable. Please let us know beforehand if we should know about any difficulty we may have moving the inflatable from our vehicle to your desired location, i.e. steps to your garden.

20) The hirer will be liable for any reasonable costs incurred if there is any damage to our equipment.

21) Duloch Entertainment can provide supervision of your hire (additional cost applies). We do take reasonable steps to ensure safety, but we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injury caused by using our equipment. We do have public liability insurance which provides insurance cover for negligence & equipment failure subject to our Hire Agreement & Conditions being adhered too.

We require the hirer to sign our disclaimer upon delivery of the inflatable.

DISCLAIMER

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Provided that the equipment is used in accordance with the above guidelines and conditions of hire, those using the inflatable should do so safely. However, accidents can happen. Duloch Entertainment can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, howsoever caused, in the absence of the negligence of Duloch Entertainment or its employees. As the equipment will be in the hirers possession and control whilst in use rather than Duloch Entertainment, any liability for injuries or other losses caused other than in the circumstances described above rests with the hirer. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering his or her liability arising from the use of the inflatable.

I hereby agree to abide by the terms and conditions listed above.
